KATHMANDU: Namibia has set a target of 126 runs for victory against Nepal in today’s match under the Women’s T20 International Cricket Tournament.
Namibia, who were invited to bat first after losing the toss at the Entebbe Cricket Ground in Uganda, scored a total of 125 runs for the loss of eight wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. Yasmin Khan scored 45 runs in 44 balls with the help of five fours. Wilka Mwatil scored 20, Arrasta Dieregard scored 16 and Captain Sune Wittman scored 15 runs.
For Nepal, Ishwari Bista took the most wickets with three, while Rachna Kumari Chaudhary took two and Riya Sharma and Indu Verma took one wicket each.
Nepal, who have suffered two defeats in the tournament, have entered the field with the intention of winning. Nepal lost to Namibia by 6 wickets in their first match. Similarly, Nepal defeated home team Uganda by one wicket in the second match and Nepal lost to Hong Kong by two runs in the third match.
Namibia had earlier defeated Nepal in the ongoing tournament, before losing to Hong Kong by four wickets and Uganda by one run. Nepal is now batting in reply.
