“The creation of the fund was a logical step for us in the fight for justice and in helping victims of domestic violence,” said Aitbek Amangeldy, brother of the deceased.
Amangeldy explained that the fund does not collect donations from individuals.
“Thank you for all your support, in turn we want to return good for good and give back to society as much as possible. Our future is in our common hands,” said Amangeldy.
He said that over time the foundation will publish the charter and strategic plan for the work of the foundation in memory of Saltanat Nukenova.
Saltanat Nukenova is the common-law wife of ex-Minister of National Economy Kuandyk Bishimbayev. She was brutally murdered in November 2023. These days, a trial in this case against the ex-official is taking place in Kazakhstan. The case is broadcast live. The process is followed by millions of people around the world.
