Demolition on eyesore building in Summerside begins

Work has begun to demolish the building at the corner of Granville and Ryan streets in Summerside. The former site of Centennial Pool and Holland College, the building has been vacant for more than 10 years. In November 2020, the city announced plans for a housing project at the site. In December 2021, the city announced plans to tear down the property and build a $23-million health centre in its place. SUMMERSIDE, P.E.I. — Work has begun to demolish the building at the corner of Granville and Ryan streets in Summerside.
